  1. When this show first aired, I couldn't look away. I spent the entire hour shaking my head in confusion and disgust. My house is never really sparkling clean, but the extent these people have let theirs go is just dumbfounding. I never knew this type of disorder existed and now I've watched so many episodes of Hoarders I feel like a back seat therapist! Expand

  2. Most people who know me know that I intensely despise reality TV. 99% of it is not reality at all, embarrassing to the intellect of normal people and encourages over-dramatized, uncivilized, irresponsible behavior, normally showcasing the lowest class of our society. Hoarders is a different breed. While many people showcased on Hoarders are a lower class element of our society, the show does a great job of not selfishly exploiting their plight for the sake of ratings. The show provides proper medical/psychological and practical guidance to assist these people, as well as after-care funding to ensure they stay on track to halt their hoarding tendencies. Kudos to Hoarders for bucking the reality show trend and revealing (and attempting to help) an element of our society that wasn't often discussed. Expand
