PrunellaP.Oct 10, 20080It's not funny, not insightful, not clever, not dramatic. I just don't see the point of this show.

RC.Oct 12, 20089High-camp shot on hand-held cameras and edited with a frenetic pace... both actresses are superb.

KristinH.Oct 14, 20080This show was just dreadful!!!!. Thankfully I too Tivo'd it and watched about 15 minutes or so and then hit the trustee little dlete button. I was really hoping that this was going to be the comedy to watch this season. But there wasn't a single time that I even cracked a smile.

chaseu.hOct 16, 20080The most excruciating thing i have watched in years. office at the mall? its not workin, the writing is stale, and the actors are just not funny. tina frey isnt even funny but at least she doesnt try, these people try and its painful. how does this stay on the air? the original Kath n kim was funny, calling this shit would be a compliment it does not deserve.

MPNov 8, 20088I find myself laughing out loud at this show week after week. Molly Shannon and Selma Blair are brilliant, and the "supporting" cast is equally as talented. The dialogue is inspired and whoever is dressing these women is genius.

BillyB.Oct 28, 20089I almost checked out after the pilot...I agree it pretty much sucked....but I gave it a chance and by the third episode I'm loving it. The characters have finally become real, knowable and likable. Great shows like 30 Rock and The Office show how great characters are everything. Give it a chance.

AlisonF.Nov 15, 200810I love Kath & Kim it embraces the idiocy of America, general craziness, and is great at presenting it and adding some heart... The AU version is funny, but personally I think the US version is better because there is character development.

JALOct 12, 20080It was horrible! Thank God I TIVO-ed it. 10 minutes in to the show I not only deleted it but erased the season pass request. My husband's only comment about it was, ' I can't believe you lasted 10 minutes.

munntOct 16, 20087Although it is hard to imagine where the writers can go from here, I thought the pilot was very funny. I thought Selma Blair was hilarious as Kim. I'm really surprised at how brutal the critics were.

CarolineO.Oct 23, 20082I seldom feel compelled to share my opinion about TV shows, movies, etc. but I was SO astounded by the HORRIBLE writing, casting, and limited acting ability ( Blair, in particular) that I had to research and see if other viewers found it as much of an insulting waste of time as I did. Most concur.

TrishyM.Nov 18, 20089This show will eventually be hugely popular once viewers get to know the characters.

Sep 3, 201110This show is hilarious. I do not understand why so many people thought it was terrible. I guess they just didn't get it. Maybe you have to have a specific type of humor. Anyway, Molly Shannon is wonderful as the sweet Kath Day and Selma Blair is a blast as the "I'm to good for everyone" Kim Day!!

Satiric comedy only works if it's funny. And in this case, it's not.
-
The core problem with K&K is that there's no character to root for.
-
40Unfortunately, Blair's bratty take on Kim is repetitive and not even mildly amusing, Shannon is wonderful at her role (as always) but doesn't have much of a character to work with, and the stories are neither real enough to be relatable nor outrageous enough to flesh out a true farce.
