Well if it's for fans of Superbad then count me out. Most of the "punch lines"(felt like punch lines) just stood out there too long, making the show a little un-easy to watch. Most of the jokes that are played up, start with DUDE, dude your neo, dude your the one.And most of the smart writhing that i would like to see more are played down,I'm guessing CW wants us Drunk 20 somethings tuning in every week, so they naturally have to tone the smart down. Once again really stupid show. Expand

If Kevin Smith's name wasn't on this it wouldn't be worth even acknowledging. Please end this soon.

CW's best television series this year. I was surprised this to be as good as it is because I expected something geeky however the character is fun and lovable and its original plotline along with its funny remarks gives it good reviews

This show has no business being ranked in the 80s, nor should it have a 9.0. There are many more deserving shows that are no where near this rating. Where the hell is Seinfeld? Where are any of the Chris Lilley mockumentaries? Can't even begin on the omissions in the movie section; Beatlejuice anyone?! This is scripted tween garbage. Wise steals this, show, and his costars aren't easy prey. What's more, the dynamic is quite clever. [28 Sep 2007, p.94]

Kevin Smith directs the pilot episode with his typically expert comic timing. But he also handles the dark action bits nicely. Because even though Reaper is generous with its humor, it’s not entirely wink-wink.
  3. Besides being the funniest pilot, it has the best cast.
