The show isn’t quite comic gold; it’s just an entertaining, light goof on Hollywood, ego, fame, fandom, and McIntyre himself, who has a good attitude about all the goofing, as well as some good comic timing.
Return of the Mac looks like a pleasant family project, one they can look back on fondly. For the rest of us, it’s just a step up from watching someone else’s home movies.
