By this season I expected the fun and concept to wear off, but it's remained a super entertaining show. The characters continue to evolve and entertain.
Best season yet. In the beginning this was just a quirky comedy with a bunch of hollow characters interacting with an unfamiliar environment. In season 4 we see them finally breaking down the self-absorbed walls they've built around themselves in their former opulent lifestyle. Watching this evolution of their new-found humanity is just as rewarding as the usual laughs.
Hi have to agree with Mr. Breeze about season 4. my husband and I have been watching Schitt's Creek since it began. we know all the shows by heart, have watched them over and over and over. we just watched season 4, episode 5 on Tuesday. I'be been waiting to write a review, but didn't want to do so after just a few episodes. Something this season is way off big time. Bringing Roland to work at the motel is a really bad move. I just ff through all Roland/Johnny scenes. he doesn't belong at the motel. it's a time waste. Stevie hasn't had a decent line so far this season. Where is Mutt. the triangle relationship with Alexis, Mutt and Ted is missed, but realize that couldn't continue. The writing is just not as good as the past 3 seasons. there must be a different director also. The shots of the town around the cafe, and street with the mayor house, etc are really short this season. everything seems rushed in the filming. the magic of the first three seasons is GONE! we will keep watching, hoping our favorite Canadian show will somehow get better this season. Unfortunately I don't think it will. Why has the show changed so much? it was SOOOOOO great, now it's boring. I don't laugh through it anymore. Even Moira's lines are not written well for her. why waste so many of the things that made the show great? David should be single again. those in charge, DAN!, needs to figure out what he did this season and avoid it next season, if there is one. I HATE to write this, but these are questions that need answers and all this needs to be said. Sorry to disappoint all the great fans. Thanks Mr. Breeze for your review. Makes us here at home realize we aren't the only ones so disappointed with Season 4. Dan, you can do much better. we know you can, you did incredible things with this show for the past three seasons. WHAT Happened?
I really enjoyed this show for the first three seasons. Very different and funny. I was really looking forward to Season 4. However, I just finished watching the first two episodes of Season 4 and am very disappointed. I will try watching it again when episode 3 arrives, but if it continues like this, I will no longer be watching.
