Geek out over Anakin Skywalker's underwater lightsaber action and a young, pre-admiral Ackbar ordering a retreat...but groan anew when Jar Jar Binks shows up to glug and mug.
The animation in this season was something that many 3D animated shows would only dream off. Epic background, Great voice acting and great character expressions.
Woah, this series just got a whole lot more dark and better! Every episode in this season is simply a blast: no, seriously, there's not a single bad one! It's hard to imagine how they did this. My favorite episodes of the season were probably Shadow Warrior, the Ventress/Opress arc, slaver arc, and Carnage of Krell.
Two Words : Darth Maul - The struggles on both sides and the rescues are incredible, each episode makes you want to watch more!! Very good season, can't wait for 5.
Season 4 is the best season. It's got the least mediocre episodes out of any series, and more concentration on wider spanning stories, action and darker themes. It has the best stories, overall, and probably the most exciting action, overall. Also, Darth Maul. This is where he really shines. Watch this now if you haven't already!
93/100.
Unos pocos episodios de relleno absoluto, con un inicio muy flaco pero con el resto se salva. Es muy interesante ver el regreso de Darth Maul. Y creo que vale la pena verla. 09/10
Season 4 has many really good episodes, character development, good story arcs and a great finale. On the other hand there are also again weaker episodes and some flaws. Since I found out in Season 3 that the chronological order in the show is different from the release order I give here a warning. You can find a list with Google but this seasons has no mayor deviations. This season continues the Nightsisters story, arc, gives us breathtaking battles that show the cruelty of war, good schemes and it ends with a return of a fan favorite I wont spoil (They even made the title card red to show that this will be special;-). I say the episodes are mostly immersive and enjoyable. On the downside I recognized some inconsistencies. For example: Cad Bane is far less capable than before or just a shadow of the guy who outsmarts everyone and can deal with 2 Jedi at once (I see a decline in tactical thinking, fighting capabilities and planing), the Gungan will never consider an alliance like this in one episode and that the Jedi order is an enemy of slavery is ridiculous. There are countless million if not billion slaves in the Republic and this does not even include droids and clone soldiers. This however does not ruin the season as there are many great moments and the multi episode stories do not fail to deliver. I think I start with my recommendations before I give an overall statement: “Water War”, “Gungan Attack” and “Prisoners” are connected and set on Mon Cala. It has intense battles, character development and a familiar face. Also great leaders are forged in the fire even in underwater worlds;-). “Shadow Warrior” for the whole story and making Jar Jar a character that I enjoy. “Darkness on Umbra”, “The General”, “Plan of Dissent” and “Carnage of Krell” for giving inside into the clone troopers, General Krell, and showing the price of victory and being a mirror of real life (Google Pyrric victory for real life examples). “A friend in need” continues a story arc for Ahsoka and Lux Bonteri, another group returs and it could be the first appearance of a character that will become more relevant (Face not show but think it is her armor / helmet). “Deception”, “Friends and Enemies”, “The Box” and “Crisis on Naboo” for a good story arc, undercover dilema and climax that show the first splits of a character. “Massacre” and “Bounty” continue the Nightsister story arc and Asajj Ventress development. Bonus for the heist and team. Finally “Brothers” and “Revenge” bring back an awesome character and shake the foundations. Also intense battles and team up. Overall I should have liked this season much better as there are so many recommendations. However the weaker episodes are truly weaker for me and drag my rating down. It is still worth watching and the connected story episodes are truly great.
This show continues to be awesome and this season in particular has some of the best story arcs, from general Krell to the Darth Maul story arc at the end.
