This feels like the kind of show ABC used to churn out in its sleep.

This is decidedly slim and rarely funny fare.
  4. There is a sense throughout that Mr. Engvall is betraying his core audience, and the whole blue-collar comedy ethos in particular, trading in one category of cliché for another.

Boy, you guys would complain if you were going to get hung with a new rope. If this show bothers you so much, why don't you just watch something else? I enjoy Bill Engvall's style of comedy very much and agree that he is better in stand up, but it's because you can only say thjings in a certain way when our kids are going to be watching. I know this going to be an unpopular comment, but I think the show would do better in an hour long format where the story line would have more time to develope. Expand

There was only one part in this whole entire TV Show that I actually giggled in.

The Bill Engvall Show is a depressing display of gutless television. Clearly trying to be a generic family sitcom so as to not offend, the show ends up providing nothing of merit. There are moments from the pilot and other episodes I've seen where good actors are asked to do ridiculously embarrassingly lame scenes that lead to every predictable endings. Really, do the producers of this show honestly think they'll attract an audience? Collapse
