I really loved this anime, I think this is the best one. But the final wasn't really cool, I REALLY suggest Toradora. The firsts episodes are a bit hard to understand, but after somes eps, you'll get into the anime. You should watch it

SEASON 1
To be honest, this is likely one of my favorite slice of life animes.
Great art all round, with some nice character designs.
Character development is just phenomenal. Very rare that I have gotton so attached to characters. The two leads are great.
For a romance anime, the show really leaves you guessing untill the end who ends up with who. Fantastic build up! The ending could have been a bit better, but to be fair,after thinking deeply on it, it was fitting and fit the characters and the central theme. (Still, a storybook ending would have been nice, even as an OVA.)
Overall:
Toradora is a heart warming experience. Kept me on the edge of my seat (for a romance story, that's quite an achievement.) If you are only going to watch one slice of life anime, make it this one.
