Guilty Gear Xrd returns to the first line of fighting games, with the virtues that make it one of the best fighting games of this generation. Revelator brings new characters, new story, new mechanics and a unique visual excellence.
While other fighting games gradually sink into boring schemes, Guilty Gear still swims against the tide, offering an original, very complex but enjoyable combat system. [09/2016, p.51]
So bloody late getting to this fighter but man is it good. Its created with so much passion and detail. It's a striking looking game. It's fighting gameplay is both varied and fun and it's full of content. I almost missed this and now today after buying its up there with the very bloody best.
Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator is hands down the best fighting game I‘ve ever seen it has excellent visual graphics, incredible combos and well-made characters, with excellent stories and, cinematics are the best, you must play this game now. This is also my first review I make about videogames on metacritic.
Guilty Gear Xrd returns with more characters, more features, a revamped combat system for new players and all new storylines. Gameplay is fundamentally unchanged but it's just better than before.
Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator will have zero complaints from new and experienced players, but Xrd Sign players who are less bothered about roster updates will find less to enjoy.
As a fighting game fan, having new systems to learn has been great fun and the design of the characters and the world is instantly enjoyable if you like Japanese fighting games and/or anime. With the detailed tutorial and introduction of the Stylish control mode, it’s far more approachable for new players, but the complexity of the story and how little it does to help people jump on quickly may rub people the wrong way.
This is by far the best fighting game out there !
Stunning graphics, great gameplay and awesome music. it's fast paced, has a good story and even his tutorial mode is so good that it puts every other fighting game to shame !
It's really a pleasure to see so much efforts and passion was put into it.
I didn't see that since the good old days of Capcom/SNK...
El juego es muy bonito estéticamente, variedad de personajes y movimientos, quizá se echa en falta modos de juego más atractivos, así como su traducción al castellano.
The lack of an English dub keeps this score lower than it should be. Then English voice acting for SIGN was quite good, and it's definitely a negative to not have this alternative set of voices. I only put this note here because of what I have read on a lot of forums as of late, but "player nostalgia" is not a good excuse for not properly localizing the audio for an audience. This lack of English will also hinder the game's ability to attract new players. In particular, not having Slayer's English voice is a sin (no pun intended).
However, the new graphics effects are quite good and add some great polish to the visual experience. The new fight mechanics, such as the ability to overdrive with a burst and the blitz attacks, make for more interesting and complex fight situations. Tutorials and formerly Challenges, now called Combos, have seen some improvement in detail as well. Overall, there are both pros and cons to this newest Guilty Gear installment.
Clearly, majority of the previous game is remain same in this "new" sequel. No doubt Arc System still following the same routine that they did with Blazblue formula. Offering almost nothing in terms of extra contents comparing to previous one. In addition to some new stages, old stages are also swapped into new design, overall visuals are slightly enhanced. Not to mention that two new characters are already confirmed as DLC long before the release date (da heck ?) At the end of the day, it's just a fast money consumer crap made by greedy Arc System. If you haven't tried the Xrd yet, new installment may be useful opportunity this time.
ps4 version steals playerbase from pc version and this game doesn't have the GGX version of awe of she
also **** minigame 2 it can go die in a fire forever
