Ultimately, your enjoyment of Blood Origin will depend on how invested you are in The Witcher universe, and how convinced you are by the slapdash storylines it presents.

Season 3 is thought-provoking, devastating at moments, and completely emotional. The final episodes turned me into a sobbing mess, just as the books did, and reminded me just why I loved the story so much.

All in all, Cabinet of Curiosities works because it's just that: A grab bag of different stories, linked together tenuously by del Toro. We never linger too long in one place, and horror benefits from the shadows that it can hide in.

This is not a show just about the adventures of the illustrious Jedi; it's a cautionary tale and a tragic one. It touches on some of the best stories to come from the animated Star Wars shows like The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.

Season 6 is already like an immense step up from Season 5, which felt disjointed at times.

While the soapy drama of her love triangle adds an extra layer of fluff, it's Ingrid's own professional journey that is exciting to watch.

It's still way too early to tell the tone of the season, but given how Episode 2 ends, it feels like the show gets back on track and on a new normal. In many ways, the first two episodes feel like an epilogue to the first season and a prologue to the second. There is still a lot of story to tell.

The series marries what we've learned to love about contemporary fantasy, like Game of Thrones with its multiple main characters, with the depth and detail of Tolkien's universe. While there's still a whole season to watch, The Rings of Power is off to a successful start in delivering on its promise of quality and firing on all cylinders.

There is enough to love in House of the Dragon that keeps me coming back for more. Between the dragons, the strength of the actors, and the twists and turns of the plot, I'm eager to see where we will be taken next.
