This is the racing equivalent of EA Sport’s not-Fifa football franchise FC24...It now delivers all the same realism, audio and visual fidelity while also never losing sight that it’s a good video game that will keep players coming back for more.
F1 24 is another installment that fits the mold of an annual update, without introducing many significant changes to the series. The new features in the career mode bring minimal impact to the overall experience, and the updates to handling and physics are somewhat subjective.
Full of content and familiar elements, it shows some improvements from the previous iteration, but could have done better in some choices.
F1 24 does not represent the evolutionary step that, for example, F1 23 had been compared to its predecessor, but it is undoubtedly a valid product that will entertain Formula 1 lovers for dozens of hours thanks to a simple and satisfying driving system and a large content package and varied.
F1 24 is definitely an upgrade over the 2023 version, but not a big one. The single-player modes are getting the biggest overhauls, and if you’re a fan of those, you’ll love them. Everything else, though, looks fairly similar to what it looked like in F1 23, but with a new logo taped over it.
F1 24 is again an 'in-between game' in which new content is scarce. The career mode is fun, but not enough to pull the cart in a year without Braking Point. Dynamic Handling has potential, but the first version misses the mark in most areas.
Like real world F1 at the moment, F1 24’s a bit of a mixed bag, but it feels like, if it can be built on going forwards, it could be the starting point for something you won’t feel quite as much like you can skip out on and not miss much.
