This is quite possiblyThis show prompted me to create an account here, I find it within my moral obligation to forewarn potential viewers. This is quite possibly the most lazy show I have ever seen. It's vomit inducingly bad, 2-D characters, stilted dialogue, the most convoluted plot in the history of television. I thought maybe... just maybe... my expectations were too high. Maybe I am spoiled by the new golden age of television, with all the binge worthy shows available there are bound to be misfires. I am a horror fanatic, I think Stephen King deserves better, and so do his fans. Save your time, this show doesn't deserve an audience at this point. It's really gross, and I do not say this with a single iota of pleasure. The good news is King's new 2 part IT films will be out in theaters soon, so far it looks excellent. Watch The Mist(2007) movie, it had balls. It took a risky turn at the end, and it paid off. It's not a perfect movie, but the story stays true to the spirit of the book, all differences noted it is a must watch for those in need of a good dose of King.… Full Review »

A very disappointing direction and script from the 1st episode to the 10th, and an end-of-plot solution argued for by love made in such a way that it looks like you're watching a children's series. However, she saves herself from not having a negative rating because of the perfomance of Jenna Coleman (as Clara) and Steven Moffat's script and the Rachel Talalay's direction in episodes 11-12 and the plot-twist final of the last episode that really are the best things of this boring season. But that does not even come close to the brightness of last season.… Full Review »

I have however thoroughly enjoyed Dare Devil (9), Jessica Jones (8), Luke Cage (8), and yes even Iron First (6), so i was very much looking forward to this.
Unfortunately it's kind of all over the place. There is never any real clue as to how The antagonist plan to actually destroy the city, and ultimately the well developed and intriguing Sigourney Weaver was toppled in a scene so un-impactful that it registers somewhere on the emotional spectrum between sleep and meh. They did manage to bring the heroes together in a somewhat clever way without it feeling incredibly contrived, it is still a bit contrived, but it's hard to find a reason for disparate characters to come together and they avoided many of the usual cliches. After that though it's generally a damp squib, the menace set up by Weaver falls flat, the plot to destroy New York makes no sense as we find out their intentions have really very little to do with New York at all. It's merely thrown around that New York will be destroyed to add gravitas to a fairly mirky plot. The music falls flat, the choreography is nowhere near as good as it is in Dare Devil, the overall aesthetic is so dark at times it's hard to really tell whats going on.
It's not unwatchable though, once they get together the banter between the characters is good. Die hard fans will need to watch to see how the overall story arc progresses and where each character leaves off, with Matt being the one with most significant changes for his potential next season. That said this isn't great TV, or even good TV, it is watchable and enjoyable at times, but will leave many feeling very underwhelmed.… Full Review »
