Nov 12, 2012In small bursts, Hotel Transylvania is tolerable, featuring some challenging platform areas forcing you to make some precise movements with the circle pad. Unfortunately, the overall experience comes up a bit short making it hard for me to recommend this game for anyone this holiday season.
Oct 1, 2012Hotel Transylvania had strong potential to overcome the stigma of movie tie-in games, but with clumsy controls, repetitive gameplay, and a front-to-back experience lasting less than three hours, it's difficult to see it as anything more than a well-intentioned cash in. If we had to describe this game in two words, we'd pick "squandered potential". If we only had one word, we'd pick "no".

Nov 24, 2014This is a pretty easy game... but at times it is very tricky. Example = there is a wall jump necessary towards the middle of the map/castleThis is a pretty easy game... but at times it is very tricky. Example = there is a wall jump necessary towards the middle of the map/castle that is nearly impossible to achieve. Fortunately, and unfortunately, the game saves each time you enter a new area and/or door. This means the multiple times you die will not lead to you to losing much time.
There are some upgrades you get throughout the game that will give you access to more of the castle. Boss fights are easy and not that enjoyable.
Overall, i spent about 3 hrs to complete the game. A 8 yr old should be able to pass this game pretty easily...a 5-6 yr old may get frustrated...an adult will probably not enjoy the game much unless they loved the characters in the movie.
I got it for $5 so i think i got my money's worth...but if i had paid retail i would be really annoyed/disappointed with this purchase.… Full Review »
