As a game, The Secret of the Unicorn sports a decent campaign and a great "secondary" mode; as a tie-in, it really captures the spirit of both the movie and the comics: the result is a good fix for the Tintin fans.

Ubisoft has done the unexpected, delivering an extremely solid movie tie-in with The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn. This solid platform adventure on Nintendo 3DS proves to be great fun throughout, despite its brevity, with pleasing extras and a great two-player race element.

The Adventures of Tintin – The secret of the Unicorn is an average title, with a quite entertaining gameplay but some undeniable flaws, from its short main story to the excessive easiness. Still it's recommendable, providing a funny experience.

This 3DS version has the merit of offering more or less the same experience than the HD versions (minus the voice-overs, and a lesser visual prowess); but it also inherits its shortcomings. A repetitive gameplay, very short lifespan, and underwhelming action sequences.
