  • Summary: Thor: The Video Game will take players through a spectacular, epic-scale original third-person adventure for which Matt Fraction, the Eisner Award-winning writer and lead Thor comic book author served as story consultant. In the game, Thor battles through the numerous worlds of Norse mythology that span realms ranging from primal worlds of fire and ice to extraordinary planets inhabited by Frost Giants and Trolls to save Asgard, the capital city of the Norse Gods. Thor must overcome monstrous foes lifted from the pages of the comics including Ulik, Ymir, and Surtur, as well as other monstrous denizens. Players will wield the iconic Mjolnir, Thors legendary hammer, to fight enemies on an immense scale while controlling the elemental storm powers of lightning, thunder, and wind to vanquish enemies. As Thor earns Valor points through his exploits, players can acquire new abilities, powers, and weapon upgrades. Expand

If you're looking for something non-draining on the brain than Thor - God of Thunder offers 3DS gamers a fun yet ultimately forgettable journey for this ancient god.

Thor 3DS still offers a passable brawler for fans of the genre at its most basic, but if you're looking for the next great portable game, you best look elsewhere.

As movie game tie-ins go, Thor: God of Thunder is definitely one of the better ones, but that doesn't stop it growing stale and repetitive rather quickly.

Thunderously dumb combat in an endless succession of technically borked corridors. [Nov 2011, p.65]

Thor plays a lot like the god of war like hack n slashes. Going from room to room taking on hoards of enemies. The fighting system is solid and fast paced as well as makes you feel like you are Thor .There's enemies, places, and bosses and fit into the Thor universe that's fun if your a fan or not. 3D is hit or miss sometimes noticeable. The game is about 5hrs long and has replayabilty with unlock-ables and hidden things. over all a good game but a bit short. Expand
  2. When I first played God of Thunder, I thought it would be awesome, but it turned out to be another movie tie in knock off and a very bad one at that. With clunky controls, bad story and tons of glitches, God of Thunder should be dropped in the bin, never to be seen again. At least rent the game. It's not worth the money Expand
