Overall, your enjoyment of this game is likely to come down to your love of Voltron. If you're a fan of twin-stick shooters, this is worth taking out for a spin. For Lion Force fans, though, there is no reason not to jump on this.
Personally, I'd give this game a recommendation if it goes on a half-price sale, but 800ms points ($10) is just a bit too much for this budget-quality blast from the past that is way too short and way too repetitive to be taken seriously.
It seem as if the game tries to achieve the nostalgic effect in those players who remember animated series of the eighties and seventies, but it fails when trying to adapt it to current times. Although the graphics don't shine, the main problem is its repetitive gameplay, with uninspiring combat.
If you're a fan of the series and want a game that delivers, go watch the show while you wait for a different Voltron game - one where you have more control over the super robot than simply pushing buttons on cue.
