Its simple design and perfectly-balanced difficulty level mean that it's sure to resonate with players of all skill levels, and whether it's being chipped away at during morning commutes or digested in its entirety over a weekend, Qbby's tale shows that a minimalistic game can be just as satisfying as a triple-A title.
Boxboy is another 3DS eShop gem that, if we’re lucky, will be the start of a new downloadable series in the same vein as Pushmo.

This is the perfect puzzle-adventure game, crafted by the talented hands of HAL Laboratory. The price is right, the amount of extra content will surprise will and the game is always clever - no long introductory levels like Pushmo. In my oppinion is a MUST HAVE on the 3DS. Don't Miss it!

This game is so good for an incredible low price, i mean, 5 dollars for this experience feels like i'm stealing to the company, the amount of levels and challenges is insane, definitely a must have if you're looking for a 3ds user or a puzzle fan. The only issues are that the music is a little bit basic, and the controls sometimes feels clumsy but overall an amazing experience

Box Boy! is a game that reminds us of the golden age of the Game Boy. Its level and gameplay design really shine and remind us the reasons why Nintendo became a leader in this market at various stages of its history.
Boxboy is the ideal game for breaks. The simple design, short levels and learning curve are great. It is addictive, fun and very easy to play when waiting on the bus, so a good game to release on 3DS.
While a good game, it would have been nice to see some more complex puzzles around the mid-way point to up the challenge a bit more.
Those hoping for 90° Kirby won’t get it in BoxBoy, but those looking for BoxBoy—puzzle-solving, muted box-making extraordinaire—need not look any further. Kirby is not up to this task. Unless, of course, Kirby eats BoxBoy and acquires his powers. Then Kirby might do just fine.
HAL Laboratory fails to innovate at all within the puzzle genre and throws many of the same obstacles at you over and over again—to the point where BoxBoy! is as plain a platformer as its monochromatic motif.
I have played my share of puzzle games in the past and this one sits up there as one of the best. I like the black and white no 3DS stark graphics in comparison to the majority of the games on 3DS. The game starts off easily enough and can get pretty pretty hard. You can use play coins to unlock hints if things get too tough, but they don't tell you how to get the crowns. The crowns can be very challenging! Addictive and relaxing with no time limits, but the opportunity to unlock new game modes (including time challenges) makes this game great value at being priced as low as a VC game. The music is also pretty decent!

Lovely, adorable, and simplistic puzzle game about growing boxes out of yourself. Very enjoyable the entire way through, a good amount of content for the low price point.

Summary Think outside the box to save a world in danger. Traverse tricky landscapes by creating boxes to help Qbby navigate more than 20 puzzling worlds. Just watch out—tons of obstacles stand in your way, so fortify yourself with a Shielding Afro or other boxy defenses. Then beat some more stages to earn sweet square costumes, like a superhero ...
