  • Summary: Enter the world of modern warfare, where the manipulation of media and civilians leads to military victory. As the commander of peacekeeping armies, you must build a campaign using strategy and spin control. Rescue hostages with news cameras rolling and gain public support to upgrade your units; harm innocents, and watch your popularity and power plummet. In Conflict Zone, media manipulation, brainwashing, and human shields are just as important as superior combat skills. Expand

  1. While this is not a perfect real-time strategy game, it is simplified enough that most hardcore Dreamcast fans will probably find it to be enjoyable, without having to worry about all of the problems, like resource management, that plagued some PC gamers.
  2. What Conflict Zone proves is that until a way is found round the fundamental problems thrown up by the control system, it’s unlikely that any determined real-time strategy fan is ever going to be weaned away from PC.
  3. First-person shooters and real-time strategies are more at home on the PC because they require a mouse and keyboard to be enjoyed to their fullest extent, and Conflict Zone on the Dreamcast is a prime example of why this is the case.

Great Game, only DC RTS, Good AI and difficulty is high. 32 missions in total, 23 skirmish maps against 12 different computer opponents makes for good replay vlaue in my opinion. Too bads no more than one Computer opponent in skirmish games. Expand
