  • Summary: From the creators of Unreal comes Unreal Tournament, a competition that tests your reflexes and competitive spirit in deadly arenas. Battle 15 of your friends or customizable bots in over 30 different levels, such as pirate ships, waterfronts, speeding trains, and floating castles. With enhanced weapons--including the Impact hammer, which squashes your opponent to mush, and the Redeemer, a rocket-powered nuke--expect the body count to be high. Expand

The best internet play of any console shooter lifts Unreal Tournament to our top score. That doesn't mean it's perfect -- but it does mean it's the best of its genre on any console.
  2. UT fares better than "Quake III" in three of the categories: lag, amount of people allowed to play and levels.
  3. The graphics may be a little sharper and more detailed in "Quake III Arena," but UT's added gameplay features and 8-way multiplayer action more than make up for it.
  4. The game looks great. Granted, it's not in hi-res mode like its PS2 counterpart, but DC players get on-line play, so nyah, nyah.

For computer gaming, it's the best first-person shooter ever. Yes, it's even better than Quake III.

    Excellent!!
Expand
