It is the perfect title for those that enjoy games such as Empire Earth, Civilization, Sim City, etc. I've had tons of fun with this game and will continue to play it for months to come.
Basically, anybody looking to build and maintain an imperialistic empire on their Nintendo DS should get this game.
One of the best strategy games released on DS, ANNO 1701 brings micro-management to the mainstream.
For dedicated PC strategy nerds it might seem a little lightweight in comparison to what the desktop platform currently has to offer but, for accessible, deep, pocket-sized empire-building this is a game hard to fault.

Anno 1701 offers a rich, portable strategy experience. It rests comfortably on well-worn games and gameplay mechanics, but fans of the genre should find what they're looking for.
