With both off and online modes, combined with the classic Bomberman gameplay, this is one game that can most certainly referred to as da' bomb.
The adventure has a lot of fun little challenges in its goofy and quirky design, and the Battle Pack -- Bomberman's reason for being -- is a great version of last year's Bomberman DS with solid local and online support.

Unlike several other Bomberman games, like the dreadful Bomberman Story for example, this has a pretty good single player, with the dangerously addictive multiplayer as well. While not one of the best DS games, it is a good one and worth picking up, much Bomberman-multiplayer related fun to be had, but the friendless can always play against the CPU, or have a crack at the single player game.

This is perhaps the best Bomberman game that Hudson has put out since Saturn Bomberman.
Sure, Bomberman is still sticking with 2D, and his tale is silly at the least, but there's a ton of gameplay value here. Atlus’s secret release really shouldn’t be kept hidden - it’s the bomb.
Proper Bomberman action that makes wise use of the Wi-Fi features built into DS. Consider the solo mode as a bonus in a great value package. [JPN Import; Oct 2006, p.63]
The inclusion of traditional 2-D Bomberman is also nice, but if you already have Bomberman DS, there's almost nothing new here. [Jan. 2007, p.108]
If anything can be said against the Battle Mode, it is that by modern standards, it feels a little slight.
A pretty fun adventure game with simple aesthetics. The game relies on the touch screen for navigation and its minigames. The minigames, being the main "attraction" are sometimes hit or miss, and it can become a drag after playing some of them over and over to acquire all the cards and unlocking everything.
