  1. 2K's Carnival Games for Wii is a fun, pick-up-and-play party game that many enjoyed, but unfortunately the fun factor doesn't translate well to the DS. [Aug 2008, p.90]
  2. Carnival Games for the NDS is a bust of a carnival. You're better off saving your cash and riding the teacups at the state fair with a friend. As lame as the teacups are, at least they bring people together and get you outside. That's much more than you can say for this DS title.
  3. It's short and uninteresting with any slight joy of a playing a good mini-game far outweighed by the frustration of playing the bad ones. Send this one to the bottom of the dunk tank.

The only challenge comes from the occasionally imprecise controls.
  5. A weak collection of badly implemented mini-games, you'd be better off paying out for a seaside Punch and Judy show than a session with Carnival Funfair Games.
  6. There are far better mini-game compilations on the DS at the moment, with a lot more substance, style, and fun than this simple cash in on a successful party game.

Carnival games on the DS gets boring, very quickly and while some games are extremely easy others are much harder. The games themselves are not very fun and all you unlock are costumes that your own avatar can wear that has no benefit on the gameplay what so ever. A few of the games are strangely addictive but most are quite boring and I often found myself just sticking with a hand full of them. There is to fun to be had here but not for very long at all. While the Wii Version is the worst offender, this is still nearly as bad. And it still gets a zero! Avoid. Get Disgaea if you want a good, cheap DS game. Full Review »
