  1. This is not a fun game, and that's the cornerstone of all games, fun.
  2. This title is an unoriginal, yawn-inducing experience, and it's next to impossible to draw out any lasting enjoyment.
  3. Cradle of Egypt is a fun, addictive little game, but unfortunately it doesn't offer anything more than its many free counterparts, not even a multiplayer mode! So, why bother?
  4. Games Master UK
    Uninspiring puzzles. [Aug 2010, p.104]
  5. With 100 puzzles, support for up to four players, lots of ever increasing resource and destructive tiles and a casual, non-story based mode there's a heck of a lot of game here for twenty bucks.
  6. Official Nintendo Magazine UK
One annoyance is that you can't queue up tiles. [July 2010, p.87]
  7. Nintendo Gamer
If you have "Rome," knock 30% off the score. [July 2010, p.67]
  8. With no multiplayer options and an extremely weak tutorial system, it isn’t hard to see that Jewel Master Egypt was created with a tight budget. But with flawed game design, frustrating level structure, and inaccurate style control, DS owners are much better off looking elsewhere for their puzzle gaming fix.

It is that addicting and, because of it, it is easy to overlook the faults and focus on the satisfyingly simple nature of the game.
