There are plenty of modes, lots of options to work with, and a great online offering that returns from last year. What's unfortunate, however, is that the game has gotten no facelift, is still just as clunky and unrefined in its gameplay as ever before.
  2. Almost identical to last year's version, so watch out if you were expecting something new for your 30 quid. [Nov 2008, p.58]
  3. Playable and polished as always, Madden NFL 09 doesn't gain the franchise any yardage and fails to address some old control issues.
