  • Summary: Mega Man ZX Advent follows two heroes, Grey and Ashe, on two separate but intertwining adventures as they search for answers amidst a chaotic war between humans and robots. They fight against a menacing, evil force in a battle unprecedented in the Mega Man series. The title takes full advantage of the Nintendo DS features to enhance the action-packed gameplay and story line of the popular series. A dynamic "Biometal" system is central to gameplay, allowing players the ability to change into several forms, including eight bosses, each with a variety of unique abilities and powers. With a touch of the Nintendo DS screen, players can easily switch back and forth between the Biometal and Map navigation screens. Bosses can be fought in several different ways, testing players' skills and rewarding them with nearly 24 different items depending on how they take on a boss. Co-op and head-to-head two player wireless play (two cartridges required). Two-player downloadable mini-game (one cartridge required). [Capcom] Expand

  1. Excellent gameplay, challenge and visuals. Voice work and story are the only low marks.
  2. While it’s certainly not for everyone, Mega Man ZX Advent offers some of the best 2D shooter action in years.

It fixes the main problem with the original ZX, throws in some other major improvements besides, and keeps everything that almost made ZX a classic to begin with.
  4. Advent is clearly a step backwards in this regard and this only serves to prolong the stagnating circumstances that the series is currently in. That said, the game is still as much of a blast as the first one was with more forms to assimilate, plenty of crazy boss fights (those who complete Expert Mode deserve much respect), better production values, and an overall smoother ride.
  5. 75
A revolution in gaming it's not, but it fits comfortably into its fan-oriented niche&and it plays well in the process.
  6. Mega Man and retro aficionados should apply for ZX Advent.
  7. There's no denying, however, that the platforming feels a little tired and the constant blibbering of the characters is rather trite.

Great level design. Good Music. Lots of transformations. 2 playable. characters. ZXA is an awesome platformer. Anyone giving it a low rating or bad review is considered stupid or just terrible at the game. A game like advent really pushes gamers to the edge on difficulty. An enjoyable game from start to finish. The only flaws are the crappy voice acting and the removal of Model OX which was a great form! Expand

Mega Man ZX Advent is a breathe of fresh air to the Mega Man franchise, going as far as to say it almost feels like an X game on the DS. The ZERO series already had that X1-X3 feel, ZX was just unpolished. ZXA brings it home, what 2D Mega Man on the DS should be, and a bit more. Expand

With it's great Music, amazing level design, and Intense Battles, Mega Man ZX Advent is a great game. My only beef is the voice acting, ecspecially Argoyle and Ugoyle. *shudders* Expand

This is an excellent megaman game and one of the most challenging and entertaining i've seen yet worthy of better platforms.

Mega Man Advent ZX was a disappointing experience, too easy in the beginning, the last boss is almost impossible. took me 8 hours to go trough the entire game. the controls felt great and the transforamtions too but these 8 hours aren't worth 40$. Expand
