  • Summary: Moon is an intense sci-fi, action-adventure title for Nintendo DS. Moon places gamers on the cold lunar surface in the year 2058. Researchers of the newly established Lunar Base Alpha are shocked when they discover a sealed, alien hatch during construction of a new lunar base, but it's a shock that soon pales in comparison to what they find beyond the hatch. 1. The ease of play, clever design, and memorable plot make this a very successful lunar mission.
  2. Moon is by no means perfect; from the lack of variety in enemy types to the repetitive nature of the core gameplay and terrain types, there is room for improvement.
  3. Moon is a solid first-person shooter, especially considering it’s on DS, but it certainly has its fair share of shortcomings and annoyances.
  4. Unfortunately, inspiration and programming prowess aren't enough and in the end, Moon starts off strong, but quickly turns into a boring and repetitive experience.

A wonderful and fantastic ds shooter you don't wanna miss. It's technical achievement and presentation are well done.
  2. I thought this game was excellent. Brought back a sort of feeling I haven't had since Quake or DooM. The handheld format it conducive to that old-school feeling. I had no problems with control, and I have big hands. Yes, the enemies can be a bit repetitious. But the backgrounds, sound and action are first-rate. The overall feeling is very spooky. The minigames with the bot add good puzzle-work to the game. I couldn't put it down. Expand
  3. Wanted to like this game, but I just can't recommend it. Reviewers sited the game's controls as a plus but I found them to be very awkward. Shooting while strafing is nearly impossible. Of course you could stop and shoot, but then you are a sitting duck, which is suicide in a room full of enemies. Might have been easier if I had smaller hands, but if you have large hands save yourself the frustration and stay away from this game. Finally gave up on it about a third of the way in, after several hours of nearly DS throwing aggravation. Story (as much of it as I completed) was fairly interesting, but level design was repetitive and pretty bland. If the controls had been less problematic I probably would have stuck with it through to the end, but as it is I found the game unenjoyable. Expand
