For those that already jumped into the world of portable fighting with the original Destiny on DS, Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Destiny 2 is more of the same, but it’s also a nice improvement on the formula.
  2. Rather, they have chosen to approach the series with minor tweaks and upgrades, which will be hugely appreciated by those who missed the original, but might seem irrelevant to those who already shelled out $35 to acquire the first Ninja Destiny.
  3. It improves upon its predecessor in every respect. [Nov 2009, p.86]
  4. This tie-in is halfway between a NDS beat’em up and an average GBA title (gameplay-wise); a bit more polish could’ve opened it to a wider public, but as it is, it will attract only Naruto’s die hard fans.
  5. The shallow battle system makes the single-player mode boring, and while the story mode is interesting, it isn’t all that long and doesn’t cover much new ground.
  6. The latest installment in the powerful Naruto franchise didn't leave us enthusiastic: the few game modes available, some problems with the combat system and a very simple and linear adventure make it a fan-only oriented game.
  7. This flashy fighter is all style and no substance.
  8. If you are a Naruto fan, you should stay away from this game, because of its awful music and the repetitive gameplay. If you are not a fan of Naruto, you mustn’t even care.
  9. To sum up, we can say that despite having more than average graphics and a decent fighting system, Naruto Ninja Destiny 2 doesn't meet expectations. Its only notable improvement in comparison with the previous game is the varied character roster we can choose from.
  10. Naruto: Ninja Destiny II is just like its predecessor: A poor fighting game. Again, the combat system is to simplistic, the available game modes pretty pathetic and on top of that it's a disgrace to the franchise. So, if you ever get your hands on this game, just throw it as far away as possible. Even if you're fond of yellow spiked hair and bright colored pajamas.
  11. The visuals in Naruto: Ninja Destiny II are pretty okay and the fact that you can unlock Hokages is pretty cool, but this doesn’t save the game. The Battle controls are very bad, which is a sin for a fighting game, the game is not original and in the end not fun to play.
  12. The unlockables are neat, but they aren’t neat enough to really redeem it. At all.

Nope, there is NOTHING intriguing to do in this swag-filled DS game.
