What you have here is pretty much the same as Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games, although there are 24 mini games in this case. Controls are a breeze to learn, graphics are pretty nice, and the online multiplayer is the thing that makes the game. Good for short bursts of online gaming fun.

  1. Basic, shallow and sickeningly cute, New Inernational Track & Field is fine fo a five-minute blast. Just don't expect to stay entertained for long. [July 2008, p.71]
  2. There may not be much to the game, but Sumo has done an astounding job of bolstering it with online facilities that are entirely uncommon on the platform. For what it is, it's as worthy a remake as you could possibly want. [July 2008, p.98]
  3. It is possible to learn the delicate demands of each event of course, but that can often take close to an hour of practice for each one – hardly the mark of a casual-interest game. [July 2008, p.125]
