  1. What I don't like is the ugly non-Namco designed interface and screwy button configuration when plaing with the stylus, which makes it literally impossible to play with the manual transmission. [Jan 2005, p.85]
  2. Two advanced settings have you manipulating a steering wheel on the touch screen; it's hard to get the hang of, but ultimately very satsifying. [Feb 2005, p.115]
  3. Perhaps the most stinging criticism we could hurl at Ridge Racer DS is that it makes Need for Speed Underground 2 look half-decent - and that is just plain wrong. [GamesMaster]

Just an okay game!!! Graphics where primitive and the game has bad collision detection. Music was just okay and the sound affects were nothing special to talk about. Wished Nintendo included nitro like in Namco's PSP release of Ridge Racer. Expand

The speed in this game is the best part but the lack of different tracks (only 3 different places), modes, and weak AI oppenents brings this game down. However, you are able to play against 6 friends with one cart. Expand
