  1. The platform levels are fairly interesting to play through, but they’re not enough to carry the entire game. The combat in the levels is boring, and the boss battles confusing.
  2. The Eternal Night tries its best to capture the classic Spyro recipe, but is let down by poor design, an unfair camera and infuriating difficulty spikes.

But the game still feels like a step backwards: clumsy storytelling, awkward gameplay, wonky camera, and awful boss battles.
  4. A likeable adventure. While it contains many frustrating aspects that gamers would do well to stand, there’s something in the game that makes it oddly appealing.

Haven't you jerks battered Spyro's lifeless corpse enough yet? He used to be such a happy dragon. This game is god awful. The controls are horrible and Spyro's movement is so forced and immediate that you'd think he is high on cocaine. Full Review »

Poor draw distance, muddy textures, jerky controls, lofi sound there is very little to like about this game. The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night feels like a poor man's Year of the Dragon and is best avoided. Full Review »
