  • Summary: The sequel to Digimon Battle Spirit combines all the intense fighting from the original game with brand-new features. In Digimon Battle Spirit 2, you must restore peace in Digital World by defeating Kerpymon. As in the previous game, you can collect spirit balls that let you "digivolve" into beast form. This time, you can use ancient spirits to digivolve into ancient. You can also unlock an exclusive minigame in single-player mode or link up with a friend for two-player head-to-head battles. Expand

  1. The game is low res all the way. The only saving grace is the engine which is exceptionally well designed. Controls are responsive and the animation is great.

This sequel is a very satisfying fighter with some great ideas implemented, and we'd love to see the franchise return a third time...but in a Game Boy Advance native mode. What say you, Bandai?
  3. The game isn't deep, but it will satisfy a Digimon fan's thirst for action. [Nov 2003, p.154]
  4. While DBS2 does an admirable job of capturing the platform jumping and heated brawling of Nintendo's more famous franchise, the game still falls flat. [Oct 2003, p.80]

Ewww this game is really really terrible. If it weren't for the whole digimon name sticked to it... nobody would have even come close to liking this. Expand
