Despite the somewhat limited multiplayer mode, Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure is still top notch. The Dragon Ball fans will love it, of course, but even if you're not into the series, it's definitely worth checking out.
  2. Don't be expecting one of those RPG's like Buu's Fury though, this is Dragon Ball the way you first expected it to be-full-on action, and it's pretty good considering that this is the first side-scrolling Dragon Ball game released in the states.

Unless you're a huge fan of the series there's really nothing new and amazing in the product for you. For anyone who watched the show (or is a huge classic gamer) there's a ton of solid gameplay to be had, however.
  4. Not only is Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure the best Dragon Ball game yet released, it's also an enjoyable, good-looking, technique-filled action game in its own right that's held back only by a misguided shot at diversity an innovation. [May 2006, p.94]
