Despite a few structural flaws, Fortress is a fun way to kill little chunks of time.
  2. 79
A very well executed game. Gameplay is tight, and the overall experience is a good one. However, the game is just too short.
  3. 70
Freaky and entertaining, yet you'll note nowhere on that list can "addictive" be found.
  4. 60
The problem with the game, aside from the derivative gameplay, is that the computer is way too competent, and can build faster.
  5. 60
The game is missing so many gameplay necessities that it's difficult to recommend the game beyond the "borrow from a friend" level.
  6. Fun in spurts, but there's no way you'll play it for months on end. [Winter 2001, p.51]
  7. Little more than a convoluted, poorly executed variation on "Tetris."

it's hard to get into the groove of the game...the computer will kill you the first billion times. it's very very fun once you get the hang of it though. : ) i liked this game. Expand
