  • Summary: Based on the animated film from DreamWorks, Madagascar tells the tale of four animals in New York's Central Park Zoo. You must use the skills of your animal crew (consisting of a lion, zebra, giraffe, and hippo) to overcome a variety of dangerous obstacles. As you meet new characters and battle enemies, you'll develop new skills, such as the stealth crawl, the helicopter spin, and the running barrel. 1. The most challenging levels though are the ones that get all Splinter Cell-ish on you. Even though you don't don Sam Fisher's trademark goggles, the gameplay is similar.
  2. The major problem with that idea is that later in the game the platforming and strategy elements can become quite difficult and children may feel it is out of their grasp.
  3. Tight tuning and top-notch control put the game in a league with Vicarious Visions's "Shrek 2: Beg for Mercy." [Aug 2005, p.85]
  4. 70
Even though it's ultimately unremarkable for a platformer, it's at least a solid effort.

  1. Madagascar provides quite a challenge in the gameplay. Graphics are pretty good. It is annoying in some parts because you can get stuck and you won't know where to go. Expand
