  • Summary: Gundam makes its debut on the Game Boy Advance with Gundam Seed: Battle Assault, an action game based on the animated series. Now you can take control of one of 12 different mobile suits and blast enemies with a variety of weaponry. Gameplay modes include solo missions and two-player versus mode, where you can link up to four Game Boy Advance systems for head-to-head action. Battle Assault also lets players adjust difficulty levels: Choose automatic or manual mode, and then adjust armor, HP, and energy gauges to maximize the challenge. Expand

The game gives you too many handicaps and leaves an unsavory taste of an unbalanced fighter. Even with these minor faults, Battle Assault is an excellent handheld fighter and still recommended.
  2. Typical of the genre and is your basic side-scrolling, two-dimensional fighter. If you are not looking for anything more, you may want to give it a look.
  3. It just feels as though everything in the game (like the extra modes) is either tacked on, or has an equal setback for every positive stride it makes.
  4. From muddy graphics to the weak mechanics, this simply is not a title with any lasting appeal, even to Gundam Seed fans.
