  1. There is a ton of stuff to uncover in this latest game, and the only thing they didn't include was any type of bonus for linking to the GameCube version of Mortal Kombat.

The focus on adding features -- both for single as well as multiple players -- keeps the design exciting and fun.
  3. The animation is a little choppy and the graphics are often pixelated, but the action is nonstop and the play control is tight and responsive. [Sept 2003, p.139]
  4. The controls are sluggish, and combos are difficult to pull off because of the GBA's tiny directional pad. [Sept 2003, p.134]

The critics are weird, this game is the best GBA game ever.

Ok, for a start, Electronic Gaming Monthly blaming the gameboys small pad...that isnt Midway, or Mortal Kombats fault, so dont attack the game just because your fingers are too large, fat boy. Aside from my fury at so called 'Reviewers', deep down this game still has the same core as other MK games. If you like the violence, gore and sick humour then many a fun day's to be had here, if you didnt/dont like the other MK games? Steer clear. In the modern day of gaming there still isnt much more satisfying than whapping the correct button combination to see your friends head lopped off. Expand

D00d Bl0ke- EGM has every right to criticise the game 'cause of the tiny pad: you have to design within the constraints of the console.

This game is mediocre, the fatalities are just regular moves with more blood effects. The programmers were so lazy they gave everyone the same damn moves. The weapons idea suck and should have never been added, and the psuedo 3-d enviroments are really crappy as well. Expand
