  1. A solid platformer, but also at the same time is somewhat generic.
  2. Nintendo Power

The graphics are vibrant, the beat-driven music is catchy and the madcap action boasts hidden areas and collectibles you can cash in for help. [Nov 2001, p.148]
  3. Play Magazine

The game has visuals and personality to burn. [Feb 2002, p.66]
  4. It manages to feel fresh due to the non-linear nature of its gameplay and the way it places its levels within a narrative context.
  5. Some people might not mind things like password saves and really enjoy 2D side-scrolling platformers, and I highly recommend this game to those people.
  6. With nice graphics and a storyline you don't mind following with a likeable hero, Prehistorik Man is a GBA title that has a lot going for it even though it follows the tried-and-true path of the 16-bit platform game to a "T".
  7. Game Informer

Doesn't have an original bone in his body, but I didin't seem to mind. [Jan 2002, p.98]
  8. Prehistorik Man is easy to control and is fun to play, which is something games now days have gotten away from.
