  • Summary: The city is at risk, and only you can save it from the evil clutches of an old enemy--the powerful Electro. He has a mysterious new device that makes his million volts of destruction even deadlier. But now Spider-Man has Insulated Armor, which makes him impervious to electricity, in addition to new powers such as Ice and Taser-Webbing. With your new bag of tricks, you can stop Electro, Sandman, and other villains' nefarious schemes to bring the city to its knees. Expand

  1. They’ve taken the technology used in [the original game's] engine and tweaked it just a bit to deliver more responsive controls, but above all, a better looking game overall.
  2. The background music is fitting for an action game, and the rest of the audio is made up of powerful sound effects and pretty crisp voice clips.
  3. Whether you're strictly a movie buff or have followed the comic book for years, you're going to easily be able to identify with the characters, stories, and missions that the game serves.
  4. The task may be mundane, but the gameplay is solid for the most part. [Aug 2004, p.122]

As excited as we were for the first Digital Eclipse Spider-Man game on the GBA, it's just a little disappointing to see its problem areas ignored for the sequel.
  6. It starts out on the right foot with an incredible opening video (yes, video) sequence but that early excitement quickly gets bogged down amidst mediocre 2D platforming and trial-and-error boss battles.
  7. The game is only a couple hours long and any semblance of unlocks (an image gallery) are an insult. Nobody wants to look at a gallery of movie screencaps on a GBA screen.

This is a fun game w/ a cool unlockable system. Any fan of 2D action games should take note, this game is great. The power-ups and picture system should keep you interested. Expand
