With some excellent kiddified gameplay, superb graphics and enough content to keep the little people quiet – for a while at least – this is a fine example of how to use a tie-in licence properly.
Almost every level is similar: what begins as fun, ends up maddening, because of constant dying and restarting over due to problems of overly sensitive obstacles, control issues in jumping from platform to platform, too much blind jumping, and in one particular level, really bad "touch" detection.
Zippy music, nice animation, multiplayer racers and good variety. [July 2002, p.150]
It’s a very standard platform game with some nice graphics and speech thrown in. The password save will infuriate you, along with game music that will most likely send you to an asylum.
Adults: take a point or two off the overall score if you're intending to pick up Stuart Little 2 for yourself. If you're buying it for a young kid, add a point.
One thing's for sure: if you're older than eight years old, you shouldn't even think of playing with this mouse.
Stuart has to frequently move off the edge of the screen without any indication as to what's ahead. This often results in losing health or lives. [Winter 2002, p.48]
