  1. A fantastic action-platformer that, despite a few technical hitches and minor camera problems, delivers well over 10 hours of 3D Pac-Man goodness.
  2. A fantastic action-platformer that, despite a few technical hitches and minor camera problems, delivers well over ten hours of 3D Pac-Man goodness.
  3. You may think I'm full of BS, but Pac-Man World 3 will last you anywhere from 8-12 hours.
  4. Platform afficionados will appreciate the smooth control and nonstop action. [Jan 2006, p.110]
  5. The humor is often funny and always clean, which is a real accomplishment.
  6. Nothing can save Pac-Man World 3 from feeling simply average, and that extends to the game's presentation as well. This is not helped by some crippling technical issues, which are highlighted by an unmanageable and nearly-broken camera.

Blitz Games has to its credit delivered Pac-Man fans a sequel with tight controls and occasionally engaging level designs. There studio has also successfully merged new and old styles, presenting in-game challenges that require you to play nicely emulated original Pac-Man levels.
  8. A platformer, characterized most notably by its fusion of classic Pac-Man moments and generic platforming gameplay.
  9. Lack of replay value relegates this game to a rental.
  10. Due to its unoriginal rehash of platformer game mechanics Pac-Man World 3 is only recommended for younger audiences or those new to the 3D platformer.
  11. It's just not as fun as the previous games in the series. Too much of the formula has changed, and almost none of it for the better.
  12. It avoids completely trashing the action-platformer genre, so if you have a touch of Pac-Man fever and can't find an arcade with the coin-op machine, you might just want to check this one out.
  13. The dialogue is actually charming and sometimes clever, but the loose controls found in the main game also plauge the arcade port to a degree, which to me, is the biggest bummer of this outing. [Jan 2006, p.138]
  14. No, it's hardly the greatest platformer ever - far from it - but it certainly isn't the worst.
  15. Despite its admirable music and noteworthy play control, Pac 3 is too bland for the common gamer to take notice. It's pleasant for a while, but you'll quickly grow tired of it.
  16. A competent, by-the-numbers platformer that isn't nearly as vile as we were expecting. [Aug 2006, p.61]
  17. It's sad when a gaming icon known for eschewing cliches gets mired in so many of them that he becomes part of the me-tooism he originally tried to combat.

This game can be defined in two words. Not fun. Simple as that. I previously played Pac-man World 2 and had a blast. I thought this one would be just as good. I thought wrong. Full Review »

A rather enjoyable platformer. Pac-Man World 3 puts Pac-Man in a lot of interesting and fun situations and the only gripe that I have with the game is that the individual levels can drag on and are difficult to 100% because of their length. Other than that however, I think that the graphic design really helps the game with its large and lush environments. Full Review »

Pacman may be under the radar as of nowadays, but the 2nd and 3rd PacMan World games are some of my favorite games from namco, with fantastic graphics, good plot, and pretty good comedy and gameplay Full Review »
