  • Summary: The sequel to Red Faction keeps the same exciting features from the original and introduces a new cast of characters and storyline. In Red Faction II's futuristic setting, humankind is under the rule of an evil dictatorship, and only a group of freedom fighters called Red Faction stands in its way. 1. With impressive visuals, landmark play mechanics, and multiplayer mayhem, this title is easily recommended for the violence-tolerant.
  2. The geo-mod engine is actually used with the core gameplay with this game, to make it feel like it truly belongs in there. Nothing is more satisfying than taking out a bridge with a grenade and taking a few men with it, instead of trying to get each man one at a time.
  3. The major issue is how quickly the single player mode can be completed. Within six to eight hours, most experienced players will have finished the game leaving only the multiplayer mode.
  4. A good shooter overall, offering up a short but sweet single-player campaign and a solid multiplayer mode for the long run. It's not long on looks, but it's got no shortage of action.

Great game, gets a bit boring after you've completed story mode for the first time. Great multiplayer.

A decent game. I guess in terms of originality, its not much, but the Geo-mod thing really adds to the fun in multiplayer. The graphics could have been improved a little more than their predessesor, though. Expand

Red Faction II is a bad game disguised as a good if you know what i'm saying. It sucks. Good concept, James Bond style, but the levels and gameplay are a thin as a duke-nukem game. Expand
