  • Summary: It will take nerves of steel and lightning-fast reflexes to make your way through the crowded streets of Speed Kings. In the world of street motorcycle racing, you'll weave through traffic, pull off flashy stunts, run from police, and race to the finish line. Your high-performance bikes--including sport, road, touring, and custom models--each have their own type of handling and top speeds. Perform jumps, power-downs, skids, wheelies, and stoppies, but be careful--failed attempts at these tricks result in real-time damage to both bike and rider. Expand

  1. The control is simple yet fun and the tracks, consistently impressive. [Aug 2003, p.75]
  2. There's plenty to do in SX Superstar, but the problems lie in the gameplay mechanics--such as the trick system and camera--which could've used a little more tweaking.
  3. The controls are stiffer and less forgiving than Ike Turner on Viagra, and when your crash-prone rider respawns after eating dirt, he's often facing a wall. [Sept 2003, p.122]

Don't believe the negative hype. The game is fun. The graphics are nice and the controls are smooth. The stunts are a little tricky to pull off but if they were easy, then it would be too easy. The load times within the menu are a bit long but big deal. It delivers as a motoracing game. Expand
