In the world of street motorcycle racing, you'll weave through traffic, pull off flashy stunts, run from police, and race to the finish line. Your high-performance bikes--including sport, road, touring, and custom models--each have their own type of handling and top speeds. Perform jumps, power-downs, skids, wheelies, and stoppies, but be careful--failed attempts at these tricks result in real-time damage to both bike and rider. Expand

  1. The control is simple yet fun and the tracks, consistently impressive. [Aug 2003, p.75]
  2. There's plenty to do in SX Superstar, but the problems lie in the gameplay mechanics--such as the trick system and camera--which could've used a little more tweaking.
  3. 65
SX Superstar isn't a mess, and it's not an unplayable game, it simply lacks the ambition and creativeness necessary to turn a racing game into a truly great ride.
  4. The feel of the bike is there but it's essentially an arcade game. If you can see your way clear around the interfering camera angles, you just might be able to have a good time with this game.
  5. It is a fast, kick-ass wicked ride that just kept me coming back for more. In short, it is an excellent video game and few games reach that status in my book.
  6. Last time I played this game, it was being released by THQ and was called "MX Superfly." I didn't really like it then, and I don't cotton to this generic motocross stunt title now. [Aug 2003, p.93]
  7. 33
The opponent A.I. is just so incredibly bad that only the most spectacularly untalented gamers will ever have to worry about coming in any worse than third. [Sept 2003, p.55]

The graphics are nice and the controls are smooth. The stunts are a little tricky to pull off but if they were easy, then it would be too easy. The load times within the menu are a bit long but big deal. It delivers as a motoracing game. Expand
