I'll be the first to admit that SUmmoner has a few problems; but, for whatever reason, I am utterly mesmerized by it. [Apr 2003, p.88]
It's traditional RPG stuff but this game has just the right amount of depth to satisfy fanatics while appealing to new recruits. It's a lengthy, well-balanced adventure that is sure to satisfy your RPG cravings.
I cannot stress the genius of the game’s real-time, party based combat, which offers a far more satisfying combat play than the "Aidyn Chronicles" could ever achieve.
A lot of great ideas went into the game, but a clumsy battle system and frustrating camera prevent the game from realizing its full potential. [Mar 2003, p.135]

A Goddess Reborn isn't the greatest RPG. It's not even the best one on the Gamecube. But, for those looking for a good story and a change of pace gameplay-wise, this title proves to be good enough.
I'd much rather play as a horny male chauvinist in an engrossing game than as a strong woman in a bad one. Playing the part of a warrior queen should be fun, but my enthusiasm was gone by the time I beat the game's final boss. "I never have to play this again," I thought. "Thank God(dess)."
