  1. A fantastically frantic, competitive, addictive and exhilarating racer that manages to take the XG series to a whole new level.
  2. The top speed gameplay and accompanying effects that come with it are really impressive. The only real downside is that there isn’t enough depth in the gameplay.
  3. 75
Tight, if heavy control, a seriously improved weapon system that makes for a lot of fun, and the insane tracks that XG fans have come to expect from the franchise. This is a bigger game -- more courses and a slightly expanded Season Mode, too.
  4. Unfortunately for Acclaim, the Cube has just been hit up with three outstanding racers including "Mario Kart: Double Dash!!," "F-Zero GX," and "Need for Speed Underground." In that company, XGRA looks average.
  5. If only the weaponry was more balanced to better fit the racing action, this would be one hell of a racing title.

The speeds are insane, the courses almost incomprehensible and the immersion factor deep, provided you have patience and surgical analog skills. [Oct 2003, p.72]

It has more tracks and more weapons than XG3, but the control and the framerate is way better in XG3. Now if we coulkd have a blend between XG3 and XGRA would be asweome. The bad news are that Acclaim is in bankrupcy and won't be making any more of this titles. Full Review »
