Critic score distribution:
  1. Positive: 2 out of 13
  2. Negative: 5 out of 13
  1. As for the controls, the camera itself caused some goof ups here and there.
  2. An extremely unoriginal game with low replay value and barely tolerable sound quality.
  3. I liked Zapper for its utterly old-school approach to simplicity and twitch-based gameplay, even it if could have been a little better on all fronts. [Nov 2002, p.92]
  4. The basic game play is similar to that of the games in the "Frogger" series. [Feb 2003, p.157]
  5. No fun. For one, its concept is utterly ridiculous and it might more exciting to collect bugs than to play as one. Secondly, the gameplay is very tedious and is not fun at all because of the grid-like pattern the stages are arranged in.
  6. A very bland and unremarkable game plagued by poor control and design.
