Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is an incredibly polished PC port with all the bells and whistles you could possibly ask for. It looks and runs incredibly, with the ability to tweak visuals and performance to suit your device. Nixxes continues their perfect streak of ports, and this is a fantastic way to experience Aloy’s second adventure.
Nixxes has done a fantastic job adapting Horizon Forbidden West to PC, offering exceptional performance and optimization, with stunning graphics at 4K and FPS ranging from 85 to 108 on high-end systems, while even lower-end systems like the ROG Ally can handle the game at 720p with FSR 2.2, showcasing excellent adaptation across various setups.
As a fan of the original Horizon Zero Dawn, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Forbidden West, and it did not disappoint! The addition of new weapons, abilities, and challenges makes for an even more thrilling experience.
Horizon Forbidden West on the PC is another example of a game done right in its conversion from console. It brings the same great gameplay, performance, and gaming experience that was established on the PlayStation 5 two years ago.
Horizon Forbidden West’s PC release is a joy to play to get a refresher on the latest game in this series of breathtaking games so far. It's a blast to run around and experience the world the game offers with maximum detail. The work put into the game to make it run smoothly on PC is amazing. Players will be happy with this PC port and can look forward to experiencing the game once again without any restrictions or graphical limitations on it.
If you liked the first Horizon game and want to re-enter the ruined world dominated by mechanical dinosaurs, the second game and expansion has already arrived on PC. And it is of good quality, but the price could have been lower.
Horizon Forbidden West exceeds all expectations! The combat mechanics are fluid and satisfying, and the character development is top-notch. Guerrilla Games has outdone themselves with this incredible sequel.
Horizon Forbidden West has amazing graphics and battles but after playing for about 30h it starts to become boring. The story isnt that good and the game loop is most of the time the same. You ran to a Quest -> Speak with someone -> kill something -> speak with someone. Another thing that i hate is the main character. She is know-it-all and annoying. Every few seconds there's a comment that's supposed to help the player, it's just annoying. Moreover, this woke approach seems far too forced and simply fulfills every cliché.
Slight improvement of the previous one regarding the story but the gameplay and mechanics do not change at all always the same as the first small map no relevant side activities few models and types of enemies a continuous recycling of mesh and textures. The crafting system stupid and basic, the ability to craft arrows in combat I find stupid no survival element food serves little to no purpose and buffs last too short.. Boring and repetitive too simple and obvious plot and still we have the infinite dodges??? That's not it doesn't even deserve a sufficiencyTranslated with **** (free version)
80% of the tasks involve solving puzzles and finding the way, which is really annoying. Does the development team know? The protagonist, being the most advanced person of the era, has the most basic equipment, while the weapons and gear of the bandits are more advanced than the protagonist's. The abilities of the monsters are all about combos, leaving you no chance to charge up. The only way is to hide in high places and shoot from afar. By mid-game, I've stopped playing side quests; it's boring to the extreme. I advise everyone to just play the main storyline. This game has the most frustrating gameplay mechanics I've encountered recently. I deeply regret buying this game at full price.
SummaryThis Complete Edition allows you to enjoy the critically acclaimed Horizon Forbidden West in its entirety with bonus content, including the Burning Shores story expansion that picks up after the main game.
