The levels are entirely too short, and the ease of play that is obviously aimed for is often sabotaged by the difficulty of the hazards.
This game is strictly for kids, and when I say kids, I mean the kind that may in fact still wear diapers. The smelly kind. [May 2002, p.89]

If there were ever budget titles for the Game Boy Advance, this title would be the perfect candidate. However, at the price it is being advertised, it's hardly worthy of anyone's time even if you suddenly became an Ice Age fan and must grab everything related to the franchise.
This seems less a case of a fun-filled movie inspiring a game than of a development company getting assigned a game by their publisher and told to crank it out quickly.
Probably not cool enough for experienced gamers, Ice Age is perfect for beginners. [Apr 2002, p.152]
Despite this heinous gameplay, the game is remarkably easy to get through (even if it does make you sporadically scream out in anger).
The frustrating gameplay will turn even the most eager gamer's experience sour after a few levels.
Summary Ice Age is a straightforward platform game with a host of problems that ultimately make it a completely joyless experience.
