If you don't mind a bit of grinding for cash, Armageddon by Meridian can be a fun and interesting action-strategy title, just don't expect fast progress through the campaign.
Armageddon is a straightforward castle vs. castle battler that opts for simplicity and a high level of difficulty over creativity and depth.
Meridian has certainly done a good joob in creating a not-so-elaborate but effective game, with charming graphics and strong gameplay mechanics. Armageddon provides a lot of extra contents - from artworks to alternative game modes - and the OpenFeint support expands the formula with social features like leaderboards and achievements. Unfortunately, the 70 too-much-similar levels weigh against the final evaluation, while the high difficulty could demoralize some players.
Armageddon is a fun game with an addictive upgrade system, but it's nearly ruined by terrible pacing.
