Asphalt 7 is basically Asphalt 6, only with more pathetic attempts at social integration and obnoxious offers to share your progress with your friends.

It offers exhilarating street racing with some exciting jumps in the course. It runs and looks well on all of my devices (from iPod 4g to iPad Air). My only concern is the in-app-purchases. Like any other recent Gameloft game, there are tons of opportunities to pay-to-win out of a tough race. The first half of the game is relatively easy, though the second half is punishingly hard without dropping loads of virtual cash. There is an imbalance between money earned from races versus money spent on required updates for more challenging races. There is also an extreme imbalance in multiplayer. Unfortunately, skill is mostly determined by the speed of your car more than anything. More strives should have been taken to balance the multiplayer. Still, there's no better racing game on the app store and the pay system is much tamer than games such as Real Racing 3 or Asphalt 8. I'd wait for a sale, but Asphalt 7 still is worth getting.
