The name alone makes Axe In Face worth a download, and fortunately, the game is just as straightforwardly fun.
I was pretty sure that I would get bored with Axe in Face after a level or two, but the introduction of special abilities like the lightning bolt and unique enemies that must be attacked in different ways added variety to the game and kept me hooked for several consecutive hours.
This game packs hours of fun into a very affordable package ($0.99), making it a great impulse buy, as well as an excuse for screaming "in the face! In...The...Face!"
With its humorous gameplay, simple graphics, and physics-be-damned line-drawing mechanics, Axe In Face is more than just an overly-aggressive name for a game, but rather a light-hearted, though still bloody, mash-up of genres that makes for a fun pick-up-and-play title.
All of these elements come together really well in Axe in Face providing a simple concept with just enough depth and strategy to keep things interesting.
It's charming and cute. Most importantly, it's an absolute bargain for a game that has the addictive qualities of iPhone greats such as Angry Birds or Flight Control.
Axe In Face is a silly and delightful game, as long as you don't mind committing cartoon carnage.
